The Idaho Tribe 128 Improved Order of Red Men operated the cemetery outside of town until October 1936 at which time they deeded it to the Sharptown Fire Department Inc. The membership then named it “Sharptown Firemen’s Cemetery”. The Department has owned and operated it since that time. It is managed under the direction of the Board of Trustees. Proceeds from the sale of burial lots and grave openings go toward the upkeep of the cemetery. These proceeds do not cover the total expense and proceeds from Bingo and the Carnival help with upkeep, plus donations from relatives of those which are interned in the cemetery.
For those working on Family Genealogy, the link below will list files with the names of those interned in the cemetery.
