On July 22, at approx. 2:30pm, Wicomico Central Alerted, Stations 9 Mardela, 5 Hebron, 14 Sharptown, 12 Westside of a house fire on Athol Rd. Crews arrived to find smoke coming through the eves. Once on scene, Asst. Chief Bowden established command, while Chief 14 took over operations. Crews were able to extricate 2 dogs and Mardela EMS transported them to the Pets ER in Salisbury.
