On the morning of Sunday, July 16, Sharptown Fire Department, along with Mardela Fire Dept., Laurel Fire Dept., and Eldorado Fire Dept., were alerted for a Chicken House on fire on Laurel Rd. Firefighters arrived to find a Chicken House with fire coming out of the peak. Crews were able to quickly extinguish the fire and then checked throughout the chicken house for any extension. Firefighters were on scene for approximately 2 Hours.

Sharptown Assists Hebron with 3 Story Chicken House Fire
On May 8th, 2013, Sharptown Fire Department was alerted to Stand by at Station 5 Hebron while they were fighting a 3 story chicken house fire. While en route to station 5, Sharptown was diverted to the scene to assist.

Sharptown Assist Mardela with a Natural Cover Fire
On March 15 at 2:30pm, Wicomico Central alerted Sharptown for a Brush Truck to assist Mardela with a natural cover fire on Riverton Rd. Firefighters from Sharptown, Hebron, Delmar, Vienna, and Eldorado assisted with extinguishing the fire.
