Chicken House Fire on Laurel Rd

The Maryland State Arts Council presented the 7^th annual Maryland Traditions 2013 ALTA (Achievement In Living Traditions & Arts) awards with the ALTA/TRADITION being OYSTER FRITTERS OF THE SHARPTOWN FIREMEN’S CARNIVAL presented by Cindy Byrd of the Ward Museum of Wildfowl Art.

On May 8th, 2013, Sharptown Fire Department was alerted to Stand by at Station 5 Hebron while they were fighting a 3 story chicken house fire. While en route  to station 5, Sharptown was diverted to the scene to assist.   [singlepic id=76 w=320 h=240 float=center]

On March 15 at 2:30pm, Wicomico Central alerted Sharptown for a Brush Truck to assist Mardela with a natural cover fire on Riverton Rd. Firefighters from Sharptown, Hebron, Delmar, Vienna, and Eldorado assisted with extinguishing the fire. [singlepic id=177 w=320 h=240 float=center]
